12lb Combat Robot: Rebound
Looking around the club storage room, I found this old combat robot from 2017 originally designed by Alex Hattori. The robot was entirely gutted and only had the frame and weapon stack left over, with no motors or electronics.

I learned a lot from this build, since the robot was a higher weight class than ones I've previously worked with, I had to do a lot of work with thicker materials and less with 3D printing. I also had to machine different motor mounts and work with higher power electronics. The fights can be found here: BRETTZONENHRL just type in the search bar: Rebound

I took this robot to competition twice, and won one match with the robot. For my next 12 pound robot, I plan to diverge to my own design completely, as after redesigning Rebound, I saw a lot of the flaws with the original design that I plan to change. This biggest flaws being the center of mass makes the gyroscopic forces unbearable to control, and the wheels don't have even traction. Theres also not a lot of support against getting hit on the sides, as the fingerjoints just aren't strong enough.
